Texas A&M University-San Antonio now has an Institutional Repository! Our Institutional Repository is hosted by Digital Commons and part of the Digital Commons network. With Digital Commons, we are able to highlight faculty research and creative works and make those available to researchers worldwide. The structure allows you to decide what you want to make available within the repository. The library's role is to take care of the technical aspects of online publishing like copyright clearance and adding the metadata to make sure that your work is discoverable in places like Google Scholar and through applications like Unpaywall. With Digital Commons, you will be able to get reports about how often and from what geographic region of the world your work is being viewed and downloaded.
Please contact Deirdre McDonald if you would like to get your work into Digital Commons or if you have any questions. You can also upload your work using the All Faculty Scholarship link on our submission page. Generally, the larger publishers are allowing you to upload your author accepted manuscript version of a published paper. If you have any questions about what version you can upload, you can email Deirdre with the citation or use this online tool to find the correct version.
