Student Library Advisory Board

What is the Library Advisory Board?

The Texas A&M University-San Antonio Student Library Advisory Board is responsible for communicating the thoughts, ideas and concerns of the students to the library. The primary responsibility of this group is to make suggestions on ways to improve the effectiveness of the library. The Student Advisory Board collaborates with library staff to offer insight into student expectations, needs and preferences.    

                                                                                     
   

What You Might Be Doing?

  • Provide input on current and new library services, spaces resources and policies.
  • Promote library services, resources and events.
  • Participate in library user research projects to evaluate library services 

Membership

  • Undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in serving on the Library Student Advisor Board can complete the application during the open application period.
  • The Student Library Advisory Board will consist of a least 4-6 students.
  • Members are selected by the library and will be notified of their appointment by the fourth week of class in the spring semester.
  • Members are expected to serve for a two-year term, but may extend their term if they wish. The board will hold at least two meetings per semester.
