Although we have 24/7 online assistance, our staff is available during operating hours. The current location of the University Library is in the Central Academic Building on the second floor. These short films were designed to help you become familiar with what the library has to offer.
The library has over 50 computers for patron use, including a Disability Support Services station. The computers feature much more than just the Microsoft Office Suite. For a full list of the software available on all computers, refer to this list of software in the library.
The library also provides access to the following:
The University Library offers over 270 databases covering all disciplines and degree programs offered by A&M San Antonio. In addition, the library provides access to over 560,000 electronic books, over 99,000 electronic journals, over 83,000 videos, and over 28,500 print items. All electronic items are accessible to students from any internet-connected computer.
The library has two methods to accessing material we do not have available. Interlibrary loan services give us the opportunity to gather items for you, and the TexShare card allows faculty and students to visit and borrow books from area libraries that participate in the TexShare program.
In addition to the University Library’s collection, each college within the university is assigned a subject librarian liaison like your Business Librarian. Subject librarians are available to assist with reference questions, in-class instruction, collection development, course specific tutorials and research guides and research support for the college’s faculty and students. The University Library also offers workshops to assist students with their research needs.
Monthly, we have events planned for your intellectual and stress relieving needs. Check out our events calendar to see how to get involved. Follow us on Instagram/Facebook for on-the-go updates of our events.
