What is programming?
A programming language is a system of notations used to write instructions for computers. It consists of three components: syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. Syntax deals with forming valid programming constructs, semantics deals with the meaning of the constructs, and pragmatics deals with the practical use of the language. Programming languages have vocabulary and grammar, and valid programming constructs must be both syntactically and semantically correct.
