Shepardizing can help you determine whether or not your case or statute is still good law.
It's important to know what the symbols for your case or statute mean. Red and yellow symbols mean possible negative treatment (and/or pending legislation for statutes), so you want to be sure to look at your citing references carefully to make sure your case or statute hasn't been overturned, or will soon be changed.
To be thorough, we want to check out all of the cases that treat our statute negatively, as well as any pending legislation in order to see how our statute might be changed in the near future.
