International Research FAQs

Where can I find country data and information?

You can search for country data and information on both the Management and Marketing research guides. Both have an international tab with list of library databases and websites that can help you research a particular country. The resources provide country profiles that include economic, social, and cultural information for a particular country, as well as consumer data. 

Where can I get international information on income and expenditure habits of consumers?

Located on the Market Research tab on the Marketing Research Guide, there is a link to Passport (Euromonitor International). Once you've accessed the databases, you have the option to select Income and Expenditure within the consumers tab. Scroll to the middle of the page and select Income and Expenditure, as well as the country you are wanting information on. This video introduces you to a method on how to utilize the information. 

Is there a resource that allows access to international newspapers? 

The Finding Articles tab included on most research guides has a section labeled Business Newspapers. There you will find a link to Global Newsstream. This resources offers international, national, and regional newspapers including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Guardian, El Norte, and South China Morning Post. Search by company, geographic area, products, people, or subject.
