The E-book I Need is Not Available

The Library Doesn't Own an E-Book I Need

The library has a growing collection of e-Books. However, e-books cannot be requested through interlibrary loan. Check the library catalog to find out whether the same title is available in print. If the the library doesn't own a print copy, you can request a print copy through placing an interlibary loan request or suggesting the library to purchase an e-book copy. Having Issues Accessing a Library E-Book

The library has access to hundreds of thousands of e-books, though sometimes links break or the copy we own may already be checked out to another user. Below are some tips to help you work through access issues with e-books.

Let us know about an e-book access issue by using the report a broken link tool in the access online section of an item record in the library catalog record.

E-Book Copy is in Use Message:

The number of users who can view an e-book at the same time will vary by title. If you see a message that says e-book is in use, that means someone is currently viewing that e-book, and you will need to check back later. Or, you can request to be notified when the e-book becomes available again. If this feature is available for the platform, log into or create a free account with the e-book platform and follow the instructions to place a hold (see screenshots below). You will receive an email when the e-book becomes available. Below are examples showing when an e-book is in use and the Place Hold button for an e-book in the EBSCOhost platform.
